Anthony Rendon swipes base, collects hits in Angels' loss

by Chris Schommer | Angels Correspondent | Sat, Aug 10th 8:38am EDT

Anthony Rendon went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in the Angels' 3-2 defeat to the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact:

While he didn't contribute to the run column or drive in any runs, his ability to get on base was a positive takeaway. Rendon's performance this season has been underwhelming, with a modest .245 average and just six RBIs over 36 games. His lack of power production, highlighted by zero home runs, limits his fantasy appeal in most formats. However, his multi-hit game could be a sign of turning things around, though fantasy managers should remain cautious given his overall performance this year. The stolen base was a nice touch, but with only five on the season, it's not enough to significantly boost his value.
