Miles Mikolas struggles, Cards still triumph over Royals

Miles Mikolas had a rough outing, surrendering five earned runs on eight hits while striking out three over four innings in Friday's 8-5 victory against the Royals.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite the Cardinals' offense bailing him out for a team win, Mikolas's personal performance did little to reassure fantasy managers. His ERA for the season now balloons to 5.30, and with a modest strikeout rate of 6.1 K/9, his fantasy upside remains limited. The lack of walks in this game is a small silver lining, but overall, Mikolas's inconsistency this season makes him a risky play in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.
