Jack Flaherty secured a win after allowing four earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out ten over 5 2/3 innings in Friday's 9-5 victory over the Pirates.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite a somewhat rocky outing in terms of hits and runs allowed, Flaherty's ability to rack up strikeouts was on full display, adding a double-digit K count to his impressive season totals. His ERA slightly increased to 2.97, but his season-long performance, including a stellar 11.4 K/9, continues to make him a top-tier fantasy option. This outing, while mixed, should do little to dampen fantasy managers' confidence in Flaherty as a high-strikeout starter.
