George Springer's hits help Jays edge Rangers 6-5

by Chris Schommer | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sat, Jul 27th 6:28am EDT

George Springer went 2-for-5 in the Blue Jays' narrow victory over the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact:

He contributed two hits and scored twice, although he didn't manage any extra-base hits or RBIs. Springer's performance this season has been less than stellar, with a batting average lingering around .227 and a modest wOBA of .305. His ability to score runs remains one of the few consistent aspects of his game, as evidenced by his 50 runs scored over 96 games. However, his lack of power and RBI production this season makes him a less attractive option in standard fantasy formats. Moving forward, unless Springer can find a way to boost his slugging and on-base skills, his fantasy relevance may be limited to deeper leagues or formats that heavily reward runs scored.
