Fantasy Impact:
Stripling has been on the IL since late May, but following three recent rehab outings, the A's will activate him to start the opener of a series with the Angels on Thursday. The veteran righty topped out at 56 pitches during his rehab assignment, so he will almost certainly be on a limited pitch count. Stripling made 11 starts for the A's before landing on the IL, posting a respectable 4.24 ERA over the first seven but an ugly 9.98 ERA over the next four.
