Luis Robert Jr. swipes two, but Sox fall short

by Chris Schommer | White Sox Correspondent | Sun, Jul 14th 8:53am EDT

Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two stolen bases in the White Sox's 6-2 loss to the Pirates.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite the team's struggles, Robert's ability to add stolen bases continues to be a silver lining for fantasy managers in need of speed. However, his season batting average remains a concern at .222, and his high strikeout rate of .328 does little to inspire confidence. While the power-speed combo is appealing, evidenced by his 11 homers and 10 steals, his inconsistency at the plate makes him a risky play. Fantasy managers should keep expectations in check and consider him a boom-or-bust option depending on matchup and league format.
