While Soriano managed to limit the damage and help his team secure a win, his high pitch count and continued struggles with control are concerning for fantasy managers. His ERA slightly improved, but a WHIP of 1.20 and a low strikeout rate of 7.4 K/9 this season don't paint the picture of a reliable fantasy starter. The elevated walk rate could spell trouble in matchups against more potent offenses, suggesting that Soriano remains a risky play in all but the deepest of leagues.
