The Yankees have recalled Carlos Narvaez from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. (Yankees on Twitter)

Narvaez will join the roster to serve as the backup catcher with Jose Trevino landing on the IL with a quad strain. The 25-year-old is hitting .269, with nine home runs, and 47 RBI this season in Triple-A.
