Griffin Canning Struggles, Angels Still Triumph

Griffin Canning had a mediocre outing in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Rangers.
Fantasy Impact:
He allowed two earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings. Despite the Angels' victory, Canning's performance did little to reassure fantasy managers about his reliability. His ERA and WHIP for the season remain elevated, and his low strikeout rate of 6.2 K/9 continues to limit his upside in fantasy formats. The lack of deep outings and high-quality starts this season suggests that Canning should be considered a risky play in all but the deepest of leagues.
