Bryce Elder Struggles, Braves Still Triumph
by Matthew Adam | Braves Correspondent | Tue, Jul 9th 6:31am EDT
Bryce Elder surrendered three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over five innings in Monday's 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact:
Elder's performance was less than stellar, continuing a troubling trend reflected in his season-long metrics. With a 5.71 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP through seven starts, his reliability as a fantasy option remains questionable. The low strikeout rate (6.2 K/9) combined with a high BABIP (.345) suggests that Elder might continue to face challenges on the mound. Fantasy managers should consider these factors heavily when deciding whether to keep Elder in their rotation, as his current form does little to inspire confidence.
