David Bednar (oblique) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis this week, per Pirates GM Ben Cherington. (Kevin Gorman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Bednar has been out of action since late-June with a left oblique strain. After completing a bullpen session Saturday, the Pirates’ closer is ready to return to game action and ramp up prior to a return to the Pirates’ bullpen.
