Austin Riley swings big but Braves fall short

by Chris Schommer | Braves Correspondent | Sat, Jul 6th 9:40am EDT

Austin Riley went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in the Braves' 8-6 loss to the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite the team's defeat, Riley's performance was a bright spot as he contributed significantly with his 11th homer of the season and a walk. His season-long batting average sits at .255, and while his power numbers are respectable, his high strikeout rate (0.230) continues to be a concern for fantasy managers. However, his ability to drive in runs (37 RBI in 73 games) and score (45 runs) keeps him relevant in most fantasy formats. Moving forward, maintaining a more consistent contact rate could greatly enhance his value, especially if he can leverage his power more frequently.
