Jeimer Candelario swipes base, but Reds fall short

by Chris Schommer | Reds Correspondent | Sat, Jul 6th 6:50am EDT

Jeimer Candelario went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in the Reds' 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite managing to steal a base, Candelario's overall impact was minimal as he also struck out twice and failed to drive in any runs. His season batting average remains unimpressive at .240, and with a wOBA of .320, he continues to be a middling option in fantasy lineups. His power numbers with 14 homers are decent, but his high strikeout rate and low walk rate limit his on-base opportunities, making him a risky play in most fantasy formats.
