Kirby Yates turned in a stellar outing in relief in the Rangers' 6-4 loss to the Padres Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Yates struck out three batters as part of a perfect inning of relief for the Rangers Wednesday. The right-hander continues a solid stretch on the mound of late, holding opponents scoreless in seven of his last nine relief appearances (0-1, three saves) on the mound for the Rangers. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Yates to make the most of his usage in high-leverage situations at the back of the bullpen for manager Bruce Bochy, posting an impressive 0.92 WHIP and 0.92 ERA to go along with a 12.58 K/9 ratio in 29 appearances (11 saves) so far this season.
