Reed Garrett Shuts Door on Nationals in Extras
by Chase Davis | Mets Correspondent | Tue, Jul 2nd 9:02am EDT
Reed Garrett threw only six pitches to close out the 9-7 victory over the Washington Nationals.
Fantasy Impact:
The Mets were up 9-3 entering the 10th inning then ran into some trouble. After three runs, Garrett was called to put out the fire. He gave up an RBI single to bring it within one before getting the next batter to strike out. He's up to four saves on the year with a 3.20 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. He should continue being used in high-leverage situations.
