Shea Langeliers powers A's past D-backs

by Chris Schommer | Athletics Correspondent | Sat, Jun 29th 9:09am EDT

Shea Langeliers went 3-for-5 in the Athletics' 9-4 victory over the Diamondbacks, including a home run, one run scored, two RBI, and a stolen base.

Fantasy Impact:

This performance could signal a turning point for Langeliers, who has struggled to maintain a strong batting average this season, currently sitting at .205. His power numbers, however, are solid with 15 homers and 41 RBI through 71 games. The stolen base is a nice bonus, but with only three on the season, it's not something fantasy managers should count on regularly. While his strikeout rate remains high and his BABIP suggests there might not be much improvement in batting average, Langeliers' ability to drive in runs and hit for power keeps him relevant in fantasy leagues, particularly those that value power-hitting catchers.
