Martin Perez struggled mightily in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Braves, surrendering six earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings.
Fantasy Impact:
This performance further inflates his already bloated ERA to 5.28 and WHIP to 1.61 for the season. Given these numbers and his consistent vulnerability (evidenced by a high .354 BABIP and a modest 7.3 K/9), Perez's fantasy relevance continues to wane. His inability to work deep into games or suppress runs severely limits his appeal in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.
