Following last night’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Yoendrys Gómez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Additionally on Wednesday, LHP Clayton Andrews elected free agency in lieu of accepting an outright assignment.

Fantasy Impact:

Gomez will head back to the minor leagues, with Jake Cosuins being recalled to provide a fresh arm for the Yankees’ bullpen. The 24-year-old had a 5.87 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP in three games with the Yankees.
