Justin Verlander (neck) is progressing slower than the Astros anticipated and is still not throwing, per manager Joe Espada. (Chandler Rome on Twitter )

Based on Espada’s comments, it sounds like Verlander’s sore neck could cause him to miss more than the minimum 15-days. The Astors will likely provide an update once he is able to resume throwing.
