Charlie Morton had a rough outing in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Yankees.
Fantasy Impact:
He allowed five earned runs on five hits and five walks while striking out four over 5 2/3 innings. This performance certainly doesn't help Morton's already middling season stats, pushing his ERA to 4.20 and WHIP to 1.30. Given his inconsistency and the elevated walk rate exhibited in this game, fantasy managers should be cautious. While his strikeout rate remains decent, his control issues and vulnerability in tough matchups like this one could be a red flag moving forward.
