Aaron Ashby endured a tough outing in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Phillies.
Fantasy Impact:
He allowed two earned runs on just two hits and five walks while striking out three over five innings. This performance, marked by control issues, slightly improved his alarming early-season stats but still leaves much to be desired. With a 6.23 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP through his first two starts, Ashby's high walk rate is a significant concern for fantasy managers. His inability to limit free passes severely caps his fantasy upside, making him a risky play in all formats. Unless he can find a way to harness his control, Ashby will remain a volatile option best left on the bench or waiver wire.
