Veteran Randy Wolf gave up eight runs on eight hits on Wednesday night against the Royals, while lasting only 3 2/3 innings. The Tigers lost the contest 12-1.
Fantasy Impact:
Wolf had pitched well in his two previous appearances with the pitching-depleted Tigers, going seven innings in back-to-back starts, but this trend did not continue. The 39-year-old lefty is now 0-3 with a 6.11 ERA that was no doubt inflated by this outing. Depending on the offense he is matched up against, he could be used as a fill-in starter if needed for the playoffs.
