Allan Winans took the mound against the New York Mets on Thursday giving up six earned runs in 5 innings, eight hits and only one strikeout to two walks in the 16-4 defeat. He was optioned to Triple-A following the game.
Fantasy Impact:
The right-hander was tagged for six earned runs on eight hits over just five innings, managing to strike out only one batter while walking two. While it's just one game, Winans has a long way to go to be fantasy relevant. He has since returned to the minors but may be an option for the big-league club if there is another injury.
