J.D. Martinez dealing with soreness, will not join the Mets in Atlanta

J.D. Martinez is expected to sit out of baseball activities for the next two days due to “overall body soreness.” (Tim Healey on Twitter )

Martinez was expected to join the Mets in Atlanta. The 35-year-old will rejoin Single-A St. Lucie on Tuesday and be worked into the lineup. Fantasy managers should expect more clarity in his status after he is able to return to game action in Single-A.
