Fantasy Impact:
Gray, as expected, began the regular season on the IL due to the hamstring strain that set him behind during Spring Training. There is hope that his stay on the IL will be minimal, as the Cardinals backdated his stint, making him eligible to return as soon as April 9. Friday's session will go a long way toward determining when exactly Gray will make his Cardinals debut. If it goes well, the veteran righty should move forward to a minor-league rehab assignment.
