The #STLCards got good news about the steady progress of LF Lars Nootbaar, who took soft-toss swings on Sunday and Monday without ill effects from the rib fractures on his left side.

Nootbaar, who was slated to be the Opening Day starter in LF, will open on the 10-day IL.
