The Blue Jays are without Kevin Gausman to begin the season, opening the door for their top pitching prospect to break camp with the big club. He has pitched to a 5.40 ERA in three spring outings to this point and while he posted a 5.06 ERA in 11 Double-A starts in 2023, he also posted a 2.12 FIP, 2.48 xFIP, and a 39.7% K% in that time.
