Travis Ishikawa placed on 15-day disabled list

The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed Travis Ishikawa on 15-day disabled list with a 'lower back strain'. Ishikawa has just been an of-the-bench bat, so this was merely to make space on the 25-man roster for Jordy Mercer. However, he will be back on the 40-man roster once he returns from the disabled list.
Fantasy Impact:
Travis Ishikawa is not a valid fantasy option because he doesn't get consistent playing time in Pittsburgh. He is just a bat off the bench, and a replacement every now and then. Steer clear of him in your fantasy league.
