Jordan Balazovic designated for assignment by Twins

The Minnesota Twins have designated Jordan Balazovic for assignment. (Do-Hyoung Park on Twitter)

The Twins DFA'd Jordan Balazovic as part of their moves today to make the Carlos Santana and Jay Jackson signings official. They also claimed RHP Zack Weiss off waivers from the Red Sox.

Recent waiver claims Daniel Duarte and Bubba Thompson also DFA'd to make room.

Fantasy Impact:

Balazovic was one of three Twins players to be removed from the 40-man roster as part of a flurry of moves by the club Wednesday. The 25-year-old tossed a 4.44 ERA across 18 appearances with the Twins and a 5.32 ERA in 22 outings with Triple-A St. Paul in 2023.
