Fantasy Impact:
Edwards also gets an invitation to Spring Training where he will compete for a spot in the Cubs' bullpen this season. This is a reunion of sorts, as Edwards first broke into the bigs with the Cubs back in 2015. The right-handed reliever was with the Cubs until partway through the 2019 season, winning a World Series ring during his run with Chicago. Edwards has worn five different uniforms since then, working out of the Nationals' bullpen most recently. He posted a respectable 3.69 ERA across 31 2/3 innings in 2023 and holds a 3.54 mark over nearly 300 career MLB relief appearances.
