The Chicago White Sox have acquired pitcher Mike Mayers from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for cash considerations. (Scott Merkin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Mayers, 31, was outrighted to Triple-A on June 21 and now lands with the White Sox a few weeks later. The right-hander pitched to a 6.15 ERA across six appearances (two starts) for the Royals this season while tossing a 6.80 ERA across 41 innings between the rotation and bullpen at Triple-A.
