Jose Berrios earns quality start Saturday
by Owen Klukas | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sun, May 7th 3:18am EDT
Jose Berrios (3-3) allowed two runs on five hits over 6 1/3 innings Saturday versus the Pirates, earning the win in the 8-2 victory. The right-hander struck out seven and yielded one walk in the 100-pitch outing.
Fantasy Impact:
Berrios has earned a quality start in three of his last four outings. After Saturday's quality start, the righty lowered his ERA and WHIP to 4.91 and 1.24 respectively. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts. The 28-year-old is still available in quite a few leagues and is definitely worth a pickup. The Bayamon native is scheduled to start versus the Braves on Saturday in Toronto.
