Justin Verlander loses Mets debut on Thursday

Justin Verlander lost his first game as a Met despite pitching relatively well. Verlander allowed two runs over five innings, striking out five Tigers. Unfortunately, the Mets' offense didn't provide any run support.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander surrendered back-to-back homers to the second and third batters he faced, then settled down and only allowed four more base runners before leaving after 79 pitches. It was a solid first effort for the future Hall of Famer, which he will try to build on when he faces the Reds next week.
