Kole Calhoun signs minors deal with Yankees

The New York Yankees have signed veteran outfielder Kole Calhoun to a minor-league contract. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Calhoun was in camp with the Seattle Mariners this spring but opted out of his deal when it was clear he was not going to crack the Opening Day roster. Calhoun has scuffled in each of the last two seasons but the lefty-swinging veteran could be a valuable addition if he's able to take advantage of the short porch in right field at Yankee Stadium. Interestingly, another Calhoun could be on his way out as outfielder Willie Calhoun is hitting just .158 without a homer in 20 trips to the plate on the season.
