Madison Bumgarner designated for assignment

Fantasy Impact:
It appears the D-backs are willing to eat the remaining $34 million left on Bumgarner's deal while he will become eligible to sign with any team for the $720,000 league minimum. The left-hander has struggled since signing with the D-backs prior to the 2020 season and owns a 10.26 ERA through four starts after surrendering seven runs to the Cardinals on Wednesday.
