Chad Smith picks up the win Wednesday

Oakland A's reliever Chad Smith earned the victory Wednesday in an 8-4 triumph over the Baltimore Orioles.
Fantasy Impact:
The A's broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the eighth as Smith came in to pitch two scoreless frames to lock down the game and earn his first career win in the process. Smith was excellent with Colorado's Triple-A affiliate over the last two seasons but struggled to a 7.50 ERA with the Rockies in 15 appearances in 2022. He joined the A's this winter and surrendered just one earned run in four Triple-A innings before being promoted and earning a victory in his A's debut Wednesday night.
