Fantasy Impact:
The Tigers signed Rosenthal to a minor-league deal on March 4 and manager A.J. Hinch said Opening Day "is not something that's feasible". The Tigers will take their time ramping Rosenthal up, a prudent move considering he hasn't pitched since the 2020 season, largely due to Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. That 2020 season was a dominant one, however, as Rosenthal turned in an eye-popping 1.90 ERA and 41.8% K% across 23 outings between the Royals and Padres, locking down 11 saves in the process. When healthy, Rosenthal has the potential to see save opportunities for the Tigers in 2023.
