Detroit Tigers pitcher Garrett Hill threw two scoreless innings in a 16-3 blowout win over the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Hill allowed two hits while striking out two against zero walks in the outing. The right-hander is impressing this spring not only with a 1.50 ERA through six innings of work but with increased velocity after averaging 92.2 mph on his heater last season. Hill debuted with a 4.03 ERA across 17 outings (eight starts) with the Tigers last season but is vying for a bullpen role in addition to starting pitching depth this spring.
