Lorenzo Cain to retire in Kansas City this summer

Former Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain will retire this summer in Kansas City. (Andy McCullough on Twitter)

Cain began his career with the Brewers in 2010 before spending his prime seasons in Kansas City from 2011-2017. He finished his career with five more seasons with the Brewers but was released midway through the 2022 season. Cain finishes his career with a lifetime .283 average with 87 home runs, 190 stolen bases, and a .750 OPS across 1,171 career appearances. The 2015 World Series champion made two All-Star appearances in 2015 and 2018, finishing in the top seven in MVP voting in each of those campaigns.
