The 36-year-old veteran made just six appearances with the Nationals in 2022 before opting to undergo season-ending elbow surgery in July. He's stated he will be a full participant in big-league camp and will look to resurrect his career after struggling over the last few seasons, both with health and performance. He owns a 3.20 career ERA with 112 saves in 463 big-league appearances, so he should get a strong opportunity to contribute for the rebuilding Nats in 2023.
