Fantasy Impact:
New Astros general manager Dana Brown named Bregman and Jose Altuve as contract extension candidates in an attempt to keep the team's core intact. He hasn't been able to repeat his 2019 season that saw him finish second in AL MVP voting, but still hit 23 home runs and 38 doubles while scoring and driving in 93 runs apiece in 2022. Locking up the 28-year-old now would be prudent while he is in his prime production seasons.
