The Washington Nationals have signed veteran pitcher Wily Peralta to a minor-league contract. (Andrew Golden on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
The pact also comes with an invite to big-league spring training. Despite limited interest this offseason, Peralta was excellent over the last two seasons with the Tigers. The 33-year-old pitched to a stout 2.93 ERA across 132 frames between the rotation and bullpen in that time with that ERA figure sitting 31st of the 203 pitchers with at least 130 innings pitched. Peralta's lack of strikeouts and elevated walk rates cap his value from a fantasy perspective even if he manages to crack the Nationals' rotation.
