Cory Abbott struggled through five innings on the mound for the Nationals Monday, allowing five runs (four earned) on three hits while also walking three and striking out seven in the Nationals' 8-0 loss to the Braves.

Abbott has allowed four runs in two of his last three starts for the Nationals, posting a 1.43 K/BB ratio in that span. The right-hander carries an abysmal 5.11 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 39 strikeouts in 15 appearances (eight starts) on the mound this season.
