Michael Pineda allowed five runs on six hits over four innings in a 12-2 loss to the Royals on Saturday. He took the loss while striking out three and walking two.
Fantasy Impact:
Pineda coughed up two homers, including a three-run shot to Bobby Witt Jr. The veteran picked up just seven swinging strikes on 80 pitches in his first start since being activated from the injured list. Pineda will take a 2-7 record, 5.79 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 26 strikeouts over 46 2/3 innings of work. His next start will come against the Royals on Friday.
