Garrett Richards has cleared waives after being designated for assignment by the Rangers. As of Tuesday, he is a free agent. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Per Ken Rosenthal, one possible landing spot would be with the Mets which would reunite him with the GM from his time with the Angels. Richards posted a 5.27 ERA, .262 OBA, and a 7.59 K/9 ratio in 32 appearances this season. The veteran right-hander would likely not hold any fantasy value regardless of the team that signs him.
