Roman Quinn hits two-run triple in loss to Royals
by Andersen Pickard | Sun, Jul 24th 7:26am EDT
Outfielder Roman Quinn registered his first at-bats with the Rays on Saturday evening. He ended up producing a solid line, going 2-for-3 with a single and two-run triple. He also struck out once. Tampa Bay ultimately fell to Kansas City by a score of 6-3.
Fantasy Impact:
Quinn slashed just .162/.225/.189 with three RBI, three walks, and 15 strikeouts through 23 games with the Phillies earlier this season. He also swiped four bags. The veteran outfielder was sent to the minors where he elected free agency and latched on with the Royals' Triple-A affiliate in Omaha. Kansas City released Quinn after just one month, and the Rays jumped on the opportunity to sign him to their big-league roster.
