Fantasy Impact:
There had been hope that deGrom could start during the first series out of the All-Star break, but this news will obviously push back his 2022 debut. He reportedly played catch on Monday and Tuesday without any issue so, for now, fantasy managers shouldn't panic. But any soreness, particularly in the shoulder, is worrisome for deGrom. The Mets may opt to now give him another rehab start before activating him, but so long as he avoids any further setbacks, he should make his debut no later than early-August.
