Fantasy Impact:
Alvarez will hit for the first time since he went on the 10-day injured list with a sore hand on July 10. Manager Dusty Baker said that Alvarez will stay back in Houston instead of going to L.A. and will 'try to get ready for the Yankees, get ready for the second half.' Alvarez has been a prolific hitter this season producing a .306/.405/.653 triple slash line with 26 home runs and 60 RBI over 75 games. Barring any setbacks, he should be able to return soon after the All-Star break.
