Joe Smith activated from IL on Wednesday

He'll return to being a solid option out of the Twins bullpen as he has 14 holds, a 2.78 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 28 appearances. In a corresponding move, the Twins optioned right-handed pitcher Josh Winder to Triple-A St. Paul.
