Phil Bickford earns win for Dodgers Sunday afternoon

by Josh Thiessen | Yankees Correspondent | Mon, Jul 11th 10:21am EDT

Phil Bickford pitched one inning on Sunday, striking out three, walking two, and giving up two hits for three earned runs as he earned the win for the Dodgers in a 11-9 game against the Cubs.

Fantasy Impact:

Bickford should not be rostered at the moment as he is not used in high leverage situations and only got his first win of the season due to a big time comeback from the Dodgers. The Dodgers reliever was actually pretty bad in his outing despite the win as he gave up nearly as many walks as strikeouts and gave up three runs which grew the Cubs lead to five at the time. The 27 year old is pitching to the tune of a below average 5.40 ERA with a WHIP of 1.13.
